The Illinois High School Association is requesting bids to host its High School Football Championships for five years, starting with the 2023 title games.
For the past ten years, the IHSA Football Championships have been held in phases between the University of Illinois at Champagne and the University of Northern Illinois at Dickleb. As the bid specs state that the IHSA is “seeking a host for its Boys Football State Final for 5 years from 2023-24 to 2027-28”, the bid will likely be offered on a site.
Another requirement is that the host must have a facility with a seating capacity of more than 12,000.
Bids will be accepted by September 2.
