Lebbeus Overton, Five-Star Defensive Lineman, Reclassifies to 2022

Milton (Ga.) Five-Star Defensive & Lebbeus Overton announced Thursday that it is reclassifying the 2022 class, releasing the top five, including Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas A&M. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound multi-sport star has been playing varsity football since eighth grade and helped lead Milton to the AAAAAAA state championship game in December.

Lebbeus Overton was selected to the Maxpreps Jr. All-America first team in 2021 after posting 54 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and 31 quarterback hurries. The Eagles finished 13-2 and lost 24-8 to Collins Hill (Suwanee). In the title game.

In the 2020-21 school year, he was named Maxpreps National Sophomore and Maxpreps Mail High School Athlete of the Year. He forced 70 tackles, 38 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, and six fumbles in Gridiron with 12 points and 12 rebounds on the hardwood. Milton led 11-1 in football and 28-3 in basketball that season, winning the AAAAAAA state title and ending the year at No. 7 in the MaxPreps Top 25.

Overshot became the first sophomore named Maxpreps Male Athlete of the Year since Doryal Green-Beckham took home the honor in 2010-11.

Before moving to Milton, he posted 105 tackles, 42 tackle losses, and 19 sacks as a freshman at Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, Ala.). He was named to the Maxpreps Freshman All-America Second Team.

Lebbeus Overton ranked No. 3 overall in the 243 Sports Composite Rankings for Class 2023 and No. 1 defensive lineman.

He joined Sony Styles of Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio) to reclassify from the 2023 class to 2022. Duration
